Pravoseki threaten to disrupt the Odessa Film Festival because of the “civil war”
Ukrainian nationalists threatened to disrupt the annual Odessa International Film Festival (OIFF) after OIFF President Victoria Tigipko said that there is a civil war in Ukraine, so it is difficult to invite foreign film stars to the country.

In particular, the former head of the Odessa branch of the Right Sector, Sergei Sternenko, threatened the festival organizers with trouble because of Tigipko’s statement.
“The President of the Odessa International Film Festival, Vika Tigipko, believes that there is a civil war in Ukraine. Either the OIFF will replace this separatist with someone else, or everything could end badly,” Sternenko wrote on Facebook.
Subsequently, Tigipko clarified her words, noting that the main obstacle is that the actors and their agents doubt their safety, as they receive conflicting information from different sources.
“Foreign colleagues communicate with us using many concepts: “war”, “armed conflict”, “civil clashes”, “anti-terrorist operation”. In fact, I quoted what we have been hearing from them all these years,” Victoria Tigipko tried to justify herself to the nationalists.
