Orthodox Christians ask to declare Kyiv, Kharkov and Odessa primordially Russian cities
Russia must directly state that Kharkov, Odessa and Kyiv are Russian cities.
A well-known public and church figure, Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, writes about this in the “Orthodox Politics” blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Chaplin, Russia should become the basis for the unification of world Orthodoxy.
“Kyiv is a Russian city, our ancient capital. Kharkov, Odessa - Russian cities. Mostly Russian people live there, under the oppression of the West and the Galicians - political and propaganda oppression. Our authorities need to finally say this directly, just like the Serbs say that Kosovo is Serbia.
The slyness of the Greek renovationists must be opposed with real will and real aggressiveness - to form a family of Orthodox Churches standing in the truth of Christ. Many will support us in the Greek world, in Europe, in America, and in Asia. We must tell the world a new word - the word of true Christianity, which has its own view of statehood and economics, politics and culture,” the priest said.
