The human rights activist complains: in foreign media prostitutes have become a symbol of Ukraine
Ukraine's reputation as a country for sex tourism is confirmed by materials in foreign tabloids and advertising by international airlines.
Alexandra Golub, head of the League for the Defense of Women's Rights, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If we look at foreign media, The Sun, one of the largest British tabloids, wrote why it is worth coming to Ukraine - because we have a lot of beautiful women. This is our bonus, and we have them in abundance here, and therefore they are available, and you can very quickly have sex with almost any Ukrainian woman, as foreign tabloids write. Another example is related to airlines, which tells us that this is already really connected with the tourism industry. One Azerbaijani airline, presenting flights to Ukraine, convinced that right upon arrival at the airport they would be greeted by beautiful Ukrainian women, also available. Not about any culture, our values. There is no discussion about them in this advertisement,” Golub complained.
