Artem Shubin, chairman of the board of the human rights center “A Matter of Honor,” told reporters about this on Friday in Simferopol.
“People were driving at the border. The Ukrainian border guard looked at the laptop and said that they had a loan. But this is all a fraudulent scheme, because most people had loans,” Shubin quotes IA Crimea Media.
The human rights activist clarified that in most cases, Ukrainian border guards demand 200-300 hryvnia from citizens.
According to Artem Shubin, border guards do not have such powers and access to the debtor database.
