“Right Sector”: EU flags are illegal! Remove EU symbols from government institutions in Kyiv!
Ukrainian nationalists held an action to remove EU flags from a number of government institutions in Kyiv. This was stated by the press service of the Right Sector, which is banned in the Russian Federation.

Nationalists claim that the flags were placed on administrative buildings in Ukraine illegally, and their removal cannot be punished by law enforcement officers.
“Article 338 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for punishment for desecration of Ukrainian state symbols or “an officially installed or raised flag or emblem of a foreign state.” The EU flag is not such, since it is not the flag of a state...Why are the flags of an interstate association, of which Ukraine is not a member, used on an equal basis with state symbols,” the message says.
“Pravoseki” also believe that within the next decade Ukraine will not become a member of the European Union, so the authorities should abandon the European integration course, which, according to nationalists, is detrimental to “Independence”.
“The EU’s foreign policy is so far a continuation of Berlin’s foreign policy. And the latter does not at all coincide with our interests. Berlin and Brussels are putting pressure on Ukraine, forcing it to make concessions to the Kremlin. When public initiatives expand methods of countering Moscow’s aggression (such as the blockade of Crimea or the occupied territories of Donbass), a voice of discontent is heard from there. In economic terms, the EU's policy towards Ukraine is clearly colonial. Moreover, the matter is by no means limited to just “treelessness”.
Finally, in the last two and a half years there have been many opportunities to realize that one of the sides of “European integration” is Ukraine’s acceptance of subversive ideas and values. The fact that last year’s gay pride parade in Kyiv was held virtually at the highest state level is convincing proof of this,” notes the PS press service.
Nationalists call for no more hanging EU flags on government institutions in Ukraine: “The EU flags on Ukrainian government buildings and everywhere else are a symbol of the spinelessness of today’s Ukraine. And also its futility. There can be no prospects for someone who refuses to live by his own mind and his own interests.”
