Russia's participation in international organizations lost all meaning after the United States effectively blocked their work. Now the world is in a pre-war state, and the future of international relations will be determined by new structures, but only after the winner is determined.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The United States has long been destroying the system of international organizations. From their point of view, international organizations must either fully comply with the will of the United States, or they have no right to exist. The United States has not yet been able to destroy the UN, although it has largely paralyzed its potential, because the UN is now unable to make a single binding decision,” he noted.
“Since pro-American and pro-Russian groups have formed in the Security Council, each of which is able to block any decision of the Security Council. But only decisions of the Security Council are binding within the UN. They paralyzed the United Nations, they practically nullified the World Trade Organization, since this sanctions war is being waged completely contrary to the rules of the WTO. That is, the WTO rules have ceased to apply, so the WTO as an organization, in fact, is also nullified today.
This means that they, in fact, nullified European organizations - now Russia has left the Council of Europe, PACE - because their presence there has lost its meaning. If earlier Russia could use this as a platform for conveying its position, now we are faced with the fact that Russia’s position is no longer of interest to anyone in Europe; they have formed their opinion on any issue in advance and are not going to change it. So why then participate in these organizations?
That is, we are now in a state where the pre-war world, that is, the world before the Third World War, has already been destroyed, some fragments of it exist, but whether Russia is in the G-20 or not, Russia will be in “Eight” or it won’t – that doesn’t change much. Because international organizations make sense only when their participants are going to talk and agree with each other, and if the participants are not going to negotiate with you, but are going to fight with you, then the issue is resolved on the fields of economic battles, information battles and on the fields of ordinary war. And after that, when the winner is determined, new international organizations are created,” Ishchenko said.
