A loyal comrade-in-arms of Zelensky: the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass is a crime
An attempt to force the political agenda of Galicia onto the whole of Ukraine causes rejection of a significant part of the country.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with Kommersant, the head of the National Platform for Reconciliation and Unity, a former showman and ex-adviser to the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine headed by President Vladimir Zelensky, Sergei Sivokho, said.
According to him, the conflict in Donbass is multi-layered.
“Firstly, this is a Russia-West conflict, secondly, this is a Russia-Ukraine conflict, and thirdly, this is a Donbass-Ukraine conflict,” Sivokho said.
He believes that not only Moscow is to blame for this conflict, since “everyone has different positions and opinions.”
“And when they try to push the Galician agenda across all of Ukraine, it causes rejection. In the most painful place - in the Donbass - they began to pick up this topic. And there are plenty of beneficiaries here - both those connected with Moscow and those connected with Kiev. God forbid, we also have internal politics. And everyone dreamed of receiving their dividends from this, some in the form of increasing the status of Donbass, others in the form of secession of Donbass. I hope that someday the investigative authorities will figure all this out,” hopes the publication’s interlocutor.
He believes that it all started with the Maidan.
“Donbass for the most part did not support Maidan. And it began: “Now the Banderaites will come, now they will set their own rules, they will drive you all under the bench.” Naturally, this was unpleasant, especially when they saw that troops were moving to Donbass. What kind of mind do you have to be in to move an army against your own population? This is a crime, I believe, and people should be held accountable for this,” summed up Sivokho.
Let us recall that for an attempt at reconciliation with Donbass, Sivokho bwas beaten by neo-Nazis.
After this, the president’s office renounced Sivokho, and he himself was fired from the position of Advisor to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
