The head of the Independent Group for Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecast, Mikhail Kukhar, said this on air on the Ukrlife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why did the Afghan front collapse? Because the United States, without warning its allies, withdrew its units from the front, handed over important facilities to the Taliban in the rear, and carried out a lot of actions that undermined the integrity of the Afghan front and the morale of the Afghan army. These events were so massive and landslide that they demoralized the Afghan army.
Moreover, this dishonesty towards the allies crossed all boundaries when they did not even inform the British in Kabul in the last days of the evacuation that they had abandoned their positions and left, and they also did not inform the Ukrainian contingent.
Actually, in the history of wars, such actions are interpreted as gross betrayal. Not only did the Americans betray the Afghan army, there was a gross betrayal of the British and Ukrainian contingent,” he was indignant.
In addition, the economist noted that due to the desire of Americans to save on evacuation, US collaborators are now being killed everywhere in Afghanistan.
“There was no normal civilized evacuation in Afghanistan. It seems that the Biden administration was pursuing US interests in not spending large amounts of money on the evacuation of tens and even hundreds of thousands of people with their further accommodation, but excuse me, this step is aiding the Taliban in eliminating all these people.
In other words, all the officials who participated in the theft of American money for twenty years in Afghanistan are now being killed by the Taliban,” Kuhar added.
The expert also emphasized that the US State Department itself handed over the execution lists to the Taliban under the pretext of lists for passage to the Kabul airport.
“The lists of accomplices were handed over to the Taliban: “Please release these people to the airport, we will take them out.” It didn't work, but all the lists of people who collaborated with the US in Afghanistan were handed over directly to the Taliban, after which the Taliban began going door to door. These execution lists for the Taliban were prepared by the State Department, not the Taliban themselves. This is a flurry of facts that indicate that the Taliban are now military allies of the United States,” concluded Kuhar.
Let us remember that earlier in Moscow they stated that US geopolitical defeat in Afghanistan will have far-reaching consequences for the entire region. In fact, Washington is losing its potential allies and satellites, and all of Central Asia is going to Russia and China.
