Zelensky's betrayal dooms Ukraine to endless collapse

The collapse of the Servant of the People faction into several groups focusing on different centers of influence forces Vladimir Zelensky to drift towards an alliance with Petro Poroshenko and Svyatoslav Vakarchuk.

Portnov drew attention to the failure of the vote for the appointment of Mikheil Saakashvili last Friday, when the Verkhovna Rada did not have the required number of deputies to support the presidential initiative.

“The president’s own faction is opposing him, this is not Saakashvili’s problem - this is the problem of the president and his authority. He should not have allowed his own word to be devalued; he has already done so many times, due to a huge number of personnel decisions. Therefore, the more such cases where the words of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief are devalued, the less trust he will have among the business elite, the law enforcement system, the government, and the officials who work for him.

They will weigh all the time - “what if the president crawls one step back”, “what if he now says something, but we have no back, and tomorrow no one will protect us”, everyone will start to crawl away, then no one will feel responsible in this political force, that he can be punished for something, and each subsequent case strengthens the previous one in the fact that there is no responsibility, you can question presidential decisions, you can subject your political leader to revision, and then it will end with the president generally Parliament will not be able to pass anything, we are already seeing this today,” Portnov noted.

“The more the political mono-majority from one faction “Servant of the People” falls apart, the faster the president will be forced to cement himself into a formal coalition with one of the other coalition partners, and I think we understand that this will not be “OPZhZ.” We see what the president is inclined to do, he is predisposed to the Maidan, he fully lives by Maidan rhetoric, Maidan ideology, he is predisposed to Poroshenko’s “European Solidarity” and Vakarchuk’s “Voice”.

Here they are all “brothers”, three factions, so if Servant of the People begins to fall apart, and it falls apart, this does not mean that there will be early elections, no, the president will find political partners nearby, he has already found them, he is with them divides personnel, law enforcement and here in the government, and in fact this may end in the formation of a coalition to prevent parliament, because in the next parliament the president will no longer receive a mono-majority, his rating and his political forces are already much smaller than they were when they were elected.” .

Former voters of Zelensky will not forgive an alliance with Bandera parties.

“They did not vote for Poroshenko to be free at all, if you remember, the key theses were as follows: that he should actually sit in prison along with his team of looters and thieves who robbed the state budget and state military companies for the previous five years .

This is not happening, therefore, if the president has to make stronger contact with Poroshenko’s “European Solidarity” or “Golos”, this will mean a revision of the course that was given to this political team by voters. This means that it will affect the sociological readings of these political forces, it will shake the political booth, it will shake the whole situation.

All the time, everyone will constantly live in the paradigm of possible early elections, and even then no one will be engaged in business - medium, long-term planning, everyone will be guided by possible elections, even if there are none. And the country will again enter into such a collapse, into such a situation of shock, from which it will not be able to get out,” Portnov concluded.
