According to Efrosinina, she did not support the reunification of Crimea with Russia, considering it an annexation, and therefore refused, even though she was unemployed at that moment.

“These were federal channels. Two. Not three, but two large channels. This was exactly at the time of the annexation of Crimea, in 14, against the backdrop of my dismissal from the New Channel. I immediately received an offer - I rejected one out of hand, the second. And in the first one, I entered into a dialogue on the basis that “how do you imagine this in general. Look at all my posts, I spoke out against this. And in general, how.”

I spoke out very actively then, and the rhetoric was something like this: it all looked super then, that it was very cool. The leading Crimean woman, Russian-speaking, whom we rescued from captivity of the nationalists. Everything worked out for them instantly, which cost me in such a way that I am unemployed, I don’t teach and have never taught in Ukrainian.

In principle, I have never even declared myself to the viewer as a Ukrainian-speaking presenter. Well, this is saving a drowning man, this is wonderful. And then, of course, I refused. I would have refused anyway, but I managed to get an explanation,” said Efrosinina.

Previously, she admitted with disappointment that none of her relatives or friends complained that life in Russian Crimea had become worse.
