“We couldn’t imagine it!” – The ATO general was indignant at the drop in the level of Svidomo in 2019
During 2019 in Ukraine, everything that was dear to the “Svidomo” heart of a true national patriot was called into question.
The ex-commander of the ATO, a deputy from European Solidarity, Lieutenant General Mikhail Zabrodsky, said this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We feel very well that Ukraine at the end of 2019 and the end of 2018 cannot be compared. At the end of 2018, we could not even imagine that one of the volunteers would be detained on obscure charges and with vague, very vague prospects for this criminal case.
We could not even imagine that for some video or post on Facebook, a public figure would also be prosecuted for threatening the Supreme Commander-in-Chief! This is very difficult to accept.
We couldn’t even imagine that someone would be called a “Nazi”, who was carried away by the ideas of the superiority of the Aryan race and after that decided to use some methods and connect it with the murder of Pavel Sheremet,” Zabrodsky was indignant.
“Yes, in this regard, it would be very difficult to foresee and even impossible to imagine. As I understand it, the main thing that distinguishes the end of 2018 and 2019 is that now our society is being imposed a slightly different attitude towards events and things that we have become accustomed to over these five years.
And the questions are not only of the “army of language and faith”, the question of society’s attitude towards those very social activists, towards those very volunteers, towards the statesmen who for all five years kept this country on themselves, on their indifference, on their active public position, on your enthusiasm, including material resources.
And now we are invited, not yet very intrusively, but very resonantly, to consider a new attitude to what is happening - are they really so disinterested, and is it true that they have exclusively patriotic ideas that very much border on nationalist ideas of the superiority of what -or race.
This is very difficult to accept, and this, in my opinion, is the main difference,” the deputy from the “war party” is indignant.
