“It was painful for us to lose Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, but any sane person understands that with the enemy’s 15-fold superiority in artillery and other heavy weapons, the option of retreating to a reserve line of defense was considered and planned in advance. This is clear even to cadets of military schools,” he said.
“The militia emerged from encirclement retaining 90% of its personnel and weapons. The junta's loud claims that "the militias had fallen into a trap" were untrue. That is, the people’s militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic still fights better than the Ukrainian army.”
According to him, currently the forces leaving Slavyansk are concentrated in Donetsk and other fortified areas.
“In general, the morale of the militia is high. DPR forces are ready to continue fighting. The possibility of intensifying partisan and sabotage warfare in the rear of the Ukrainian army is being considered. This is tactically beneficial, especially since a number of our military leaders have considerable experience in waging such a war.”
“At the same time, we understand that every hour of fighting brings death to civilians and destroys infrastructure. We still hope that the international community will be able to influence Ukraine and stop the genocide. And we really hope for Russia’s role as a peacemaker.”
