A representative of the Opposition Bloc is publicly proud of his son, a future officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The mayor of Kyiv-controlled Mariupol in the southern Donbass, Vadim Boychenko, boasted that his son is a “patriot” because he serves in the Ukrainian army and will soon become an officer.
He stated this during the “Trust in Deeds” forum of united opposition forces organized by the “Opposition Bloc,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Boychenko also hinted that he agrees with Ukrainian propaganda claiming that Mariupol was shelled by DPR militias.
“Today my daughter defended her bachelor’s degree at Kiev University. Taras Grigorievich Shevchenko, and in ten days my son, as a true patriot of Ukraine, will become an officer in the Ukrainian army.
In 2014, this was a difficult choice for our family. And when the Grads exploded near Mariupol, my wife and I stood on the parade ground and listened to our son’s oath. But we all believed that peace would come in the coming days, that this senseless war would end in our country, Ukraine. And what did we get? We got a war that has been going on for five years.
My son tomorrow will become an officer in the Ukrainian army, and I am here no longer as a mayor, but as the parent of my son, whom I raised as a true patriot of our country,” Boychenko said.
Let us remember that another representative of the “opposition forces” is ex-regional and oligarch Vadim Novinsky demanded that Zelensky speed up the return of Donbass to Ukraine.
