“Representative of ORDLO” from Kyiv disgraced the entire Ukrainian delegation live
The categorical refusal of the Ukrainian delegation to make public the transcript of the negotiations in the TCG can only indicate that Kyiv has something to hide, which is what Russia, which initiated this gesture, actually sought.
On the air of the Nash TV channel, the studio tried to hear an explanation for this decision from the Ukrainian propagandist Sergei Garmash, who fled from Donbass, whom the Ukrainian side appointed as a “representative of ORDLO,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Tell me why the Ukrainian side refuses to publish transcripts? My concern is caused by the fact that it was clear that Russia, when coming up with such an initiative, did it specifically with the expectation that you would refuse it, in order to present you as a party that is disrupting the progress of the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
Therefore, I will return to the question, why did the Ukrainian side refuse to publish the transcripts and “fall for” this trap on the part of the Russian Federation?” – political scientist Elena Dyachenko asked the negotiator.
In response, Garmash began to say that, first of all, “the OSCE did not fall for it, which, as a mediator, came out sharply against it,” but Dyachenko sharply reminded the negotiator that she was interested in the reaction of the Ukrainian side.
“This is a diplomatic process, I believe that everything that is said in the diplomatic process cannot be published. Moreover, we see Russia’s practice of publishing its own documents in the Ukrainian media in order to influence the internal political situation in Ukraine,” Garmash explained casually.
Further, the whole discussion boiled down to the fact that the “representative of ORDLO” defended himself with arguments such as that this was contrary to world practice, which were immediately smashed by the studio’s counterarguments.
“You understand perfectly well why it was proposed to show everything point by point and publish the transcript, because Russia says: the Ukrainian side says one thing during the meeting, and then completely different posts appear on Facebook,” TV presenter Maxim Nazarov intervened. – If you have nothing to hide, if everything is really so or, on the contrary, not as the Russians claim.
So what bothers you, publish it. Encrypt the part that should be classified, it’s not a problem!”
Garmash began to get lost again, and soon he completely said that he would go off the air if anyone spoke for him.
“They are part of the information war too. You understand perfectly well how any phrase can be taken out of context, and how this can influence the internal situation...” said the fugitive propagandist.
“So that’s why you show me the transcript!” – Nazarov tried to get through.
“...Therefore, it even sounds absurd to me - how is it to publish recordings of diplomatic negotiations,” the disgraced Garmash did not give up.
Thank you!
