The representative of Ukraine announced an indefinite ceasefire
Ukraine and the Donbass republics have agreed on a “silence regime”, which begins to operate indefinitely from December 29.
The representative of Ukraine at the negotiations in Minsk, Yevgeny Marchuk, announced this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the Ukrainian politician, the ceasefire will operate along the entire line of contact – that’s 426 kilometers.
“The Ukrainian proposal, which was submitted at the last meeting, to introduce a silence regime was discussed. We proposed introducing this regime of silence, that is, an indefinite ceasefire, starting tomorrow night, and more precisely, from 00:01 on December 29. There were other proposals, but in short, we managed to reach such an agreement,” Marchuk said.
