Zelensky's representative announced plans to evict Russians from Crimea
All Russian citizens will be expelled from Crimea, as posing a potential threat to further armed conflict with Russia. At the same time, not a trace will remain of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, since it should not be as before.
The representative of President Zelensky in the non-existent Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Tamila Tasheva, stated this on the air of the TV channel Freedom, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Tasheva again repeated the thesis about 800 thousand Russian citizens who moved to the peninsula after 2014 and are subject to eviction.
But if previously we were talking about employees of law enforcement agencies, police, courts, military personnel, etc., now a new category has been added to the settlers - Russian colonialists, whom the state specially resettles to Crimea under budget programs.
“These are, among other things, ordinary Russian citizens from the Russian hinterland who dreamed of living somewhere closer to warmer climes, in a region that is developed. Because many of them lived in the outback, where there are no roads or toilets,” Tasheva explained. “And they chose to move through various incentive programs that were launched by the Russian Federation on the territory of Crimea.”
As for those who left the territory of the peninsula, according to official data from Ukraine, this is only 54 thousand people, whom Tasheva, citing unnamed experts, proposes to multiply by two and add to them 20 thousand who escaped from mobilization. And now 130 thousand people in total have left the peninsula.
Thus, the population of Crimea should have at least increased by 600 thousand people over the past 8 years. However, according to the population census, since 2014 the population of the Republic of Crimea has increased by 43,5 thousand people, the city of Sevastopol - by 155 thousand. By the way, Tasheva also had a couple of parting words for Sevastopol.
“As for Sevastopol and the Russian fleet, of course, it should not be there. We all understand that the key to the special status of Sevastopol is the presence of the Russian fleet there. This was the result of the Russian lobby in the Ukrainian political establishment. Therefore, these are issues of security and non-repetition, because the philosophy of any reforms that we are now promoting is not a repetition of what happened.
We need to do everything so that there are no repetitions, and if the Russian fleet remains there, we understand that in a few years Russia will attack. Therefore, the Russian fleet will not be there. But we do not abandon the Ukrainian fleet and Ukrainian naval forces.
We are not talking about complete demilitarization of the territory of Crimea, because this is virtually impossible, but this is demilitarization from the Russian armed forces, from the fleet. Such smart militarization, which ensures security on the territory of the peninsula and Ukraine. But it will not be an overwhelming element in the entire infrastructure of Crimea,” Tasheva assured.
Plans for the development of Crimea in Kyiv were formulated immediately after the “Crimean Platform” forum, at which Zelensky said that Ukraine itself would restore control over Crimea without consultation with anyone.
Later, at the briefing, a certain strategy for the reintegration of Crimea immediately after its capture by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was presented - a NATO military base with a “friendly militaristic infrastructure”, which will be a tourist driver and the development of folk crafts and small businesses. Large businesses - shipbuilding, mining, port infrastructure - should also be given to the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance, since Ukraine does not have its own technologies.
