Russia is an “unfriendly neighbor”, “the initiator of aggression”, Vladimir Zelensky does not intend to fly to Moscow for negotiations with Vladimir Putin, Kyiv will not give up its claims to Donbass and Crimea.
The representative of the President of Ukraine in the Cabinet of Ministers, Andrey Gerus, stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Gerus, the issue of the status of territories uncontrolled by Kiev will not be considered in any negotiations.
“Ending the war is a topic that depends on both sides and even more - it depends on Russia, which was the initiator of armed aggression.
We understand perfectly well that any of our strategies rests on the fact that, unfortunately, we have an unfriendly neighbor who carries out such unfriendly actions towards Ukraine.
All subsequent negotiations that will be held, at which some goals will be achieved, there are plans for them to be held in the Normandy format.
If everything were so simple that one could simply fly to Putin in Moscow and come to an agreement, then, of course, this would have been done long ago before Zelensky. But this is probably impossible to do. There is no need to be naive and say that everything depends on a trip to Moscow...
