Zelensky's representative threatens to leave Sevastopol without special status and Black Sea Fleet base
In the event of the seizure of Crimea, Ukraine will deprive Sevastopol of its special status and take away the base from the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
The head of the fake “representative office of the President of Ukraine in Crimea,” Tamila Tasheva, stated this on the air of Public Broadcasting, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Tasheva, Sevastopol has become a city with a special status thanks to Russia and its naval base.
“We foresee that Sevastopol will definitely be deprived of its special status. Because when a special status was granted to Sevastopol, it was done, first of all, with an eye on the Russian desire for the Russian Black Sea Fleet to exist in Sevastopol and, accordingly, this special status of Sevastopol came from this factor,” the official said.
“We must definitely, in order to ensure security in Crimea, withdraw the Russian fleet after de-occupation; accordingly, this special status for Sevastopol will cease to exist,” Tasheva said.
