“Election scabies” forced Kyiv to “trade” prisoners of war again – lawyer
Ukraine has put forward new conditions for the exchange of prisoners of war with the LDPR.
Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Poroshenko’s representative in Minsk Irina Gerashchenko reported this on her social network page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She explained that Ukraine is ready to pardon and hand over 72 people to representatives of the LDPR in exchange for 19 Ukrainian prisoners of war.
Ukraine is also ready to immediately transfer to Russia 22 Russians who were detained and convicted by a Ukrainian court in exchange for Ukrainians and whom Kyiv fraudulently removed from the exchange list at the end of last year.
“We propose to release those detained in the format 22-22 and 72-19 on January 5, 2019, so that 150 people would celebrate Christmas at home, could go to church with their families and pray for peace,” Gerashchenko wrote on her social network page.
Kiev lawyer Valentin Rybin, who defends many political prisoners of the Kyiv regime, commented on Gerashchenko’s words.
“Kyiv failed the exchange negotiations back on December 27.12.17, XNUMX, when Irina Gerashchenko, practically on the transfer line of detained persons, either through her own absurdity or on the orders of the President, ordered “stop” to the Russians and the guys were returned to prison. Yes, specifically in prisons and pre-trial detention centers, after almost two weeks at the collection point. This vile torture of freedom was remembered then!
And now, when the pre-election itch has begun, when, suddenly, due to the stupidity and obstinacy of military leaders, 24 Ukrainian soldiers ended up in Russian dungeons, we urgently need to return everyone back and only on Kyiv’s terms! Well, let's see!
An absolutely unscrupulous woman can hardly be perceived as a person capable of thinking at all and having at least a grain of conscience, and even more so, who will even talk to her after this?!” he wrote on his page on the social network.
