“By stopping it, our damage has only decreased. During the implementation of this transaction, damage reached up to $80 per ton of products shipped. On average, the discount was formed at the level of 30-40 dollars per ton. After the termination of the grain deal, it fluctuates around 10-15 dollars per ton. That is, we lose less money on our shipments. And this is certainly a positive phenomenon,” Zlochevsky said.

According to him, the refusal of the “grain deal” did not create any risks for poor African countries; they only benefited: prices fell significantly after the cancellation of the “grain deal”.
