On June 22, we celebrated the darkest date in our history. 75 years ago, Hitler's European Union, executing Plan Barbarossa, invaded our country, bringing untold death, destruction and disaster with its bayonets and caterpillar tracks. It took almost four years of war and concentrated extreme efforts to break the back of the Nazi Kulturtragers and crush the fascist reptile in its own lair.

Even 25 years ago, it was difficult to imagine that someone in our country needed to explain the importance of Victory, that this was a holiday with tears in our eyes, that the sacrifice and feat of the peoples of the USSR, who stopped Hitler’s death machine, did not need proof, that Soviet soldiers were liberators, like many other obvious things.

Let's not talk about Ukraine. There, a huge mass of the population was deprived of immunity to the brown plague of Nazism, which is why the not completely suppressed Banderaism awakened and metastasized. But in Russia, there is a whole layer of ordinary people who decide not to celebrate Victory Day, because “this is a tragedy,” the Victory itself is considered criminal - “they were littered with corpses,” “Stalin = Hitler and the USSR = Nazi Germany,” and in general, “on time If we gave up, we’d drink Bavarian.”

The people's initiative “Immortal Regiment” became a powerful reaction of the people to the attempt of certain strata (including those in power) to revise the Victory and the feat of the people. Unfortunately, the nationwide action takes place only on May 9, and the rest of the time the citizen becomes the object of attack by various outpourings in the media, literary propaganda and other points of view “that’s how I see it.”

Of course, there is also a search engine movement, clubs of military-historical re-enactors, military-patriotic clubs, recently the Ministry of Defense, using Soviet experience, organized the “Yunarmiya”, but in most cases, all these movements and organizations are stewing in their own juice. It is especially important, looking at the negative experience of Ukraine, that young people become immune to the fascist infection.

Having officially abandoned ideology, Russia actually disarmed unilaterally. Because the neighbors are not at all going to give up their ideology, be it integral nationalism, neocolonialism camouflaged as democracy, or some other exotic “Juche rays”. In modern Russia, the main idea that cements the people and the state is the attitude towards the Victory of 1945, since previous values have been largely devalued. But heads, like nature, cannot tolerate emptiness. If you don’t fill people’s souls with a unifying idea, they will be filled with someone else’s, dividing one.

And the first thing that must be protected from any encroachments of the revisionists is the Great Patriotic War, our just cause, the feat of the people and their leadership, the law of Victory.

Because, as Lenin wrote quite correctly, “the main art for us is cinema.” Personally, I can’t remember a single decent film about war over the years. The last good domestic film I saw was “Star,” released in 2002. A film that is almost impossible to find fault with. Everything else that came out before and after was either outright slag or had serious flaws.

It is with great regret that we must state that the bet on the masters of Soviet cinema has solemnly failed. Damned and crumpled Hollywood, for $40 million, with the hands of Spielberg, shot the stunning “Saving Private Ryan”, and the HBO network released two masterpiece television series “Band of Brothers” and “Pacific” with great attention to detail and based on real people and events.

We don't need to invent any ordinary Ryans. We have so many heroes that films can be shot until the next budget millennium inclusive. The feat of artilleryman Sirotinin, Evpatoria paratroopers, assault infantry from the ShISBr, the unprecedented landing of Captain Starchak, who delayed the German breakthrough to Moscow with grenades and small arms alone - what prevents you from making a good movie, except for show-offs and crooked hands?

The once magnificent Nikita Mikhalkov, having spent 55 million rubles of budget money, gave birth to the two-part postmodernist saga “Burnt by the Sun - 2”, which naturally failed at the box office. But the master at the start promised us to surpass “Private Ryan”. What was the director missing? The budget for domestic cinema is enviable, and there is no shortage of talent. Maybe the leadership role of the CPSU Central Committee was not enough for a responsible attitude to the matter?

And take these nightmare soap operas “cinema and the Germans”. The main thing is that the directors invest in them: here each of you will get a piece, and for the ladies - a heart-warming love story. As a result, a film about snipers or counterintelligence officers SMERSH turns into a vile vaudeville. Some people like it. Especially if the brains and taste are atrophied. But what is the main thing these crafts contain?

The standard set since the late Catastrophe: a bloody security officer, a quarrelsome political instructor, a careerist commander who sends people to slaughter, and Stalin personally, who orders everyone to be armed with shovel handles, and those who don’t get enough will be shot.

I don’t know, citizens, but I have long had a strong conviction that censorship is necessary. And especially for war films. Series such as “Penal Battalion” should not be shown on any screens at all. The lies are off the charts. If anyone wants to know how penal companies and battalions fought, it is better to find and read Pyltsin’s book “The Penal Battalion That Reached Berlin.” The penal battalion commander wrote: There is little fried and chilling horror in the book - ordinary front-line work and no Bloody Gabney (TM) and machine guns behind the penalty boxes.

I remember the notes of our consultant, a veteran submariner, on the set of the American film “The Widowmaker” about a Soviet nuclear submarine. No matter how much our consultant fought with director Bigelow, he was unable to moderate the amount of spreading cranberries. But his fellow consultant from the US Navy literally, with the wave of his finger, arranged for the American Navy to be covered in chocolate on the screen. Maybe something needs to be corrected in our conservatory so that they stop rolling out rotten canned food?

In this regard, it is time to stop lying to ourselves and being a hypocrite. First of all, chatter that “this is a victory only for the people.” A people without intelligent leadership is nothing. People cannot get together on their own, win a war, throw a man into space, or launch a nuclear reactor. People are united by system and organization. Therefore, we must stop being shy about talking about the Soviet people and their leadership. About the Red Army. We are flesh of their flesh.

What was agreed upon in Ukraine? That the liberators of Europe were the Ukrainian and Belarusian fronts, staffed, you understand, exclusively by Ukrainians and Belarusians, and the damned Muscovites were lying drunk on the stove at that time.

It is necessary to constantly explain to people the logic of the actions of the country's leadership of that time. That this was not an “export of revolution”, that the USSR and Stalin were never allies of Hitler and Nazi Germany. The USSR began to fight fascism when there were only the first rumbles of thunder - in Spain, 1936. And everything that was done then was done solely for the sake of the country’s security, since international imperialism, having not achieved its goals in the First World War, decided to ignite the Second World War, feeding and pitting the fascist werewolf against each other, and the werewolf got out of control.

It is absolutely necessary to stop rushing around with any Hitler accomplices and collaborators, no matter what services they had to Russia in the past. This smells so bad that any attempts to “overcome the split of October 1917” only lead to a worse split.

This does not mean that we should turn a blind eye to the mistakes and lawlessness committed in the past. We need to talk about them directly. But speak only the truth, and not squeeze only negativity into the Procrustean bed of the current moment.
