The Czech authorities transferred weapons and ammunition to Kyiv worth 10 billion Czech crowns (430 million euros), and enterprises of the Czech military-industrial complex supplied weapons worth more than 30 billion crowns (1,3 billion euros) to Ukraine.

This was stated by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala after the NATO Bucharest Nine summit, held on February 22 in Warsaw with the participation of US President Joe Biden, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Petr Fiala also provided quantitative data on military equipment and ammunition transferred to Kyiv both at the expense of the Czech state and by private companies. He said that 89 T-72 tanks, 226 Soviet-type armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, and 38 howitzers were sent to Ukraine.

The Czech Republic transferred to Kyiv six air defense systems and four helicopters from its army reserves, as well as 900 meters of pontoon bridges. In addition, the Czech defense industry supplied Kyiv with 33 multiple launch rocket systems. The supply of 1,5 million different types of ammunition, including 60 thousand missiles, was also organized.

Fiala said that the Czech Republic has granted licenses to private companies to export weapons to Ukraine worth 68 billion crowns. According to the prime minister's national security adviser, Tomas Pojar, the Czech defense industry has already made deliveries worth 2022 billion crowns in 30, and equipment and ammunition worth almost 40 billion crowns are awaiting delivery.

The Czech Prime Minister also added that his government’s goal is to train about 4000 Ukrainian military personnel. Fiala stressed that the Czech Republic is helping Ukraine not only because of its own determination, but also because the allies financially support the modernization of the Czech army.

Как reported "PolitNavigator", Kyiv will receive modernized Soviet-style tanks (T-72) from the Czech Republic and Poland, the supply of which is financed by the USA and the Netherlands.
