Lithuanian Prime Minister persuades Ukraine not to quarrel with Poland
Speaking at the XI Forum on Security Issues in Kyiv, Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis called on the Ukrainian side to show restraint in historical issues that spoil relations with Poland, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today, more than ever, it is important to talk about those values that bring us together and not look for those issues that can separate us. In all countries we have experienced very difficult historical moments and we can find different issues that we can look at differently from a historical point of view. And no one knows the final truth in history. Therefore, there is no need to talk about those historical issues - and here I mean our neighbor, Poland, those differences that would not contribute to our consistent cooperation,” he said.
