The press secretary of the Odessa mayor, who wanted to wash away those shouting “Glory to the Heroes!” into the sea, quit
Odessa, July 31 (Navigator, Artemy Glazunov) – Today, press secretary of the Odessa mayor Maria Oleinik, who previously expressed non-acceptance of the greeting “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes!" quit because of threats against her on social networks.

She distributed the corresponding statement on her Facebook account.
“Dear friends, dear colleagues! Everyone is already aware of the story with the “Ukrainophobic post on Maria Oleinik’s Facebook page.” Everyone is also aware that this entry is the result of a hacked account. Unfortunately, this information was not of any interest. And therefore, a banal provocation grew into a loud information scandal,” writes the now former official.
“My decision to leave my position as head of the press service is due to two reasons. First: the number of threats from the series “we know where you live,” “in a couple of days they won’t find you,” “watch out, we’re coming for you.” Like any woman who is a mother, I am unable to remain calm in this situation. Second: I know that this will to some extent pacify the ardor of those whose feelings were hurt by this “post” and who categorically refuse to accept any arguments. And if this step allows me to calm the agitated society even one iota, then I will know that I did it not in vain. Peace to you!” – the statement says.
At the same time, the agency’s source at the mayor’s office stated that Oleinik herself wrote the scandalous message while in an emotional state.
As Navigator reported, Oleinik previously wrote: “When our sailors chant “Glory to the Heroes” in response to “you know what,” you want to run away.” Overboard. Or to wash them away. Although the guys may not be bad. They were just unlucky."
Subsequently, she announced that her page on social networks had been hacked. Euromaidan supporters proposed depriving her of citizenship.
