Navalny's press secretary fled Russia
The press secretary of criminal blogger Alexei Navalny, Kira Yarmysh, who was previously sentenced to one and a half years of restriction of freedom, fled from Russia.
Ex-lawyer of the extremist organization FBK Vitaly Serukanov wrote about this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Flew to Helsinki. Guess where she'll pop up next? Certainly. Will continue his extremist activities from Lithuania. For grub from North American funds,” Serukanov wrote.
The verdict against Yarmysh was pronounced on August 16. On August 27, her lawyers appealed the court's decision.
Previously, the gap between the pronouncement of a sentence and its entry into legal force was taken advantage of by a woman who recommended herself as Navalny’s lawyer, Lyubov Sobol. According to the initial version, after the divorce she went with her lover (an FBK operator) to Turkey.
However, according to information from the same Serukanov, Sobol is now in Lithuania.
“Sable hangs out in Vilnius. About a week ago (in the same place) I had a difficult meeting with Volkov and Zhdanov. Judging by her state after the meetings, nothing fundamentally new happened. Sobol will continue its course towards discord with the Volkov/Pevchikh structures,” Serukanov wrote.
Sobol herself reported on social networks that she had plastic surgery in Armenia.
RT journalist Alexei Repin is outraged that the authorities are allowing opposition women to flee the country.
“The escape of Lyuba Sobol was a legal incident, then the verdict did not enter into legal force, and the bracelet had already been removed. In any case, this is an evasion of punishment, in fact, an escape - for this you are threatened with real bunks, and not a warm blanket and a home sofa.
But Yarmysh’s verdict, as I understand it, came into force from the moment it was announced, but with the right to appeal. The bracelet, apparently, was also removed. But how did she cross the border?! The passport should have been confiscated!
In any case, both Sobol and Yarmysh are now not political, as the handshakes called them, they are ordinary 100% criminals. Find and plant. And punish those who missed it,” wrote Repin.
However, another oppositionist, Lyusya Stein, who was involved in the same case as Yarmysh and Sobol, stated in an interview with the foreign agent TV channel Dozhd that the authorities were deliberately pushing her to flee the country. Stein also had her bracelet removed and was released from house arrest after her sentencing. She could have left, but she didn't want to.
The sentences of Sobol, Yarmysh and Stein include a ban on leaving the house from 22 pm to 6 am. They were not allowed to change their permanent place of residence, go to public events, or leave Moscow and the Moscow region, and they would also have to report to the inspectorate once a month.
All three women were involved in the so-called “sanitary case”. They are charged with calls for illegal mass protests during a pandemic.
