“Just look, don’t take Nina Baginskaya away from the squares. If you take it away, there will be no opposition. There will be no one to walk. She is still in the Poznyak security service (Belarusian ultranationalist who fled to the USA - ed.) worked. Well done. She is a convinced person, what can I say. Yes, her views are radically different from ours. This is a convinced person; under no circumstances should she be taken from the street, because the scenery will disappear,” Lukashenko said.

The elderly Russophobe did not accept the president’s compliments.

“He says this to justify his guard, which consists of a thousand people. But Poznyak never had security; he had friends who met him and sometimes walked alongside him.

This is his problem - deceit in everything. He allegedly praised me for my dedication to my views. But he didn’t say that half of my pension has been taken away for many years due to fines. Isn't this repression?

I haven’t paid for transport for many years now, but now ordinary passengers recognize, greet, express support, and the controllers are ashamed to touch me,” Baginskaya told the American Radio Liberty.

She believes that the police are not detaining her because they are simply afraid to get involved. She welcomes the use of nationalist collaborator symbols and the Belarusian language at rallies.

Even before the start of mass protests, Baginskaya took part in all anti-Russian rallies in Minsk, at which she spoke critically of Russia, the Russian language and Russians.

At recent rallies, Baginskaya behaved extremely aggressively, regularly attacking riot police officers and trying to kick them and calling them “Putin’s bitches.” At the same time, the police never detained her, but only sometimes put her in a paddy wagon and drove her away.
