Elderly Russian pedophile awarded prestigious European prize
64-year-old pedophile from Karelia Yuri Dmitriev became one of the laureates of the German-French Prize for Human Rights and the Rule of Law.

“Dmitriev’s exceptional commitment to preserving the memory of Stalin’s terror deserves special recognition, despite massive opposing trends, including in Russian historical politics,” says a statement on the website of the German Foreign Ministry.
Let us remember that Dmitriev photographed his minor daughter, whom he took from an orphanage, naked, while forcing the child to take depraved poses. There are 800 such photographs in the case materials. In addition to their adopted daughter, they also have a little granddaughter of a pedophile.
In 2018, the city court of Petrozavodsk acquitted Dmitriev on three counts of producing child pornography under the influence of the uproar raised by the liberals. A month later, the verdict was overturned, and the case was sent for further investigation.
In September, the Supreme Court of Karelia increased Dmitriev’s stay in prison by 10 years. If this had not happened, the pedophile would have already been released.
The liberal public, defending Dmitriev, insists that he is a historian who investigated the executions of the 30s, and this did not please the authorities.
The pedophile has incomplete secondary education and previously worked as a mechanic in a bathhouse. However, in the 90s, I met retired police colonel Ivan Chukhin, who conducted extensive search work in the archives and headed the Karelian branch of the Memorial society. It was Chukhnin who discovered the mass grave of victims of repression at Sandarmokh. Now liberals unfairly attribute this discovery to Dmitriev.
In fact, Chukhnin introduced his friend to both excavations and work in archives. And when he died in a car accident, Dmitriev headed Memorial instead. Chukhnin was a respected person in Petrozavodsk, was elected to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, and no one considered his successor an oppositionist until pedophile photographs surfaced.
“As soon as a “human rights midfielder” gets a sentence, he is immediately given some kind of bonus. If the defendant is against Russia, if he is a “midfielder of human rights,” then in the West they democratically forget under what article, why he was imprisoned,” writer Nikolai Starikov commented on the news.
