The criminals are not even hiding: The Eternal Flame was poured with cement in Kyiv
In the center of Kyiv, vandals poured cement into the Eternal Flame in the Park of Glory. The incident coincided with the anniversary of the liberation of the capital of the Ukrainian SSR from the Nazis by Soviet troops.
According to the press service of the mayor's office, at the scene of the emergency the police found eight buckets in which vandals brought cement mortar.

“Such acts of vandalism are a shameful example of disrespect for history and the memory of heroes. I am sure that vandals cannot escape responsibility. We hope that law enforcement will quickly identify the people who did this. And all the city services that are required will contribute to this, and recordings from surveillance cameras will help identify the criminals,” said Deputy Mayor Alexey Reznikov.
At the end of 2010, Kiev student Anna Sinkova from the nationalist group “Brotherhood” of Dmitry Korchinsky defiantly fried eggs on the Eternal Flame in the same park, filming the “performance” on camera.
Sinkova was sentenced to three years of probation, but soon she became a “human rights activist” and a heroine of Euromaidan.
It is possible that representatives of Korchinsky’s group are also related to the current attack on the Eternal Flame. The day before, he published a video message from his like-minded people, which said that the day of the liberation of Kyiv from the Nazis is a mourning date for Ukrainians, and the Eternal Flame must be destroyed. It is interesting that, according to the authors, at the time of recording the appeal, Zoryan Shkiryak, an adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, was in the room.
“Today is the day of the occupation of Kyiv by Moscow-Bolshevik troops. This happened, as is known, in 43. Kyiv was once again occupied, and this occupation continued right up until Ukraine gained independence... Unfortunately, the monuments that honor this event, erected by the occupying Soviet authorities, still spoil the architecture of the city of Kiev... The eternal flame is clearly a satanic symbol, it burns from the pentagram. By all indications, it should have been destroyed long ago... The point is that this mockery finally needs to end,” said Korchinsky’s comrade-in-arms.
“Our goal is to lift up the truth and remember that this is not a holiday. To come to those monuments, these burial grounds, where the Soviet government buried millions of dead, millions of Ukrainians, Russians, Jews - all those whom they destroyed, they buried in mass burial grounds. How to hide these mass casualties? They began to glorify them. They placed their steles on these burial grounds, lit these hellish fires, calling them Eternal Fire. And there, supposedly, one could come and glorify millions of these people who died for nothing,” the nationalist added.
“The fight in the rear continues. In order to win at the front, you need to clear the rear of the cotton wool that is still abundant here. As a matter of fact, this struggle, until it ends here, we will not be able to win at the front. Until the obelisks, Eternal Flames, Soviet-Leninist satanic symbols are destroyed here, there is a threat of attack and occupation from Moscow. When we finish here, we clear the rear both in the information space and in architecture, and free people’s thoughts from all this Soviet evil, then we can say that we can calmly and confidently win the war with Moscow and at the front,” summed up Korchinsky’s comrade-in-arms .
