The progress of the investigation into the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet shows that the current Ukrainian government is covering up crime in the same way as it was under Poroshenko.
Lawyer Elena Lukash stated this on the NEWSONE TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The special services are silent, and they have been doing this for many years now. Why? Because government agencies have been intertwined with crime for the sixth year now. The Prosecutor General does not accept the widow of the murdered man, but accepts the murderer Sternenko.
The Ministry of Veterans employs people accused of Buzina’s murder; moreover, their accomplices are paid huge grants for some obviously fake veteran stories. The budget of every major city pays such groups as C14 for supposedly some kind of “guard”; I don’t know who they are guarding there.
In principle, these criminals are now the law in our country; they cannot be touched.
The Buzina killers appear on television, work in the Ministry of Veterans, everything is good and comfortable for them, they receive millions. This, well, for the state as a whole, for the state authorities, it was some kind of unimportant death, but Pavel Sheremet seemed to be important.
And when it turned out that the SBU was clearly involved in his murder, those who presented themselves as patriots and activists were clearly involved, he also moved into the category of “wrong,” judging by the correspondence.
And his most devoted colleagues turned their backs on him, and those who have been stigmatized all these last years, who are simply looking for the truth, such as Andrei Portnov, Anatoly Shariy, insist on investigating this murder.
Because you cannot divide people either during life or after death - this in no way adds integrity to the state and confidence to citizens.
It is obvious to me that the state power of Poroshenko and the SBU Poroshenko and, unfortunately, the SBU and the state power under Zelensky are twin brothers who cover up crime.
They’re covering it up, they’ve grown together with it, and they’re not going to fight it in any way,” the lawyer stated.
