The America of old no longer exists
The results obtained by the current US President Donald Trump in the last elections turned out to be unexpectedly high.

The article notes that the maximum that Trump’s opponents’ headquarters could count on was “success by a minimal margin,” while “there was no talk of Biden’s landslide victory, which would not provide grounds for future challenges to its results in court.”

Donald Trump showed enormous political activity while traveling around the country, fighting for every state, and in many of them he managed to turn the situation in his favor,” Andrei Fedorov, director of the Center for Political Research, commented on the situation.
He also added that the main thing for Trump was not only to retain his seat, but also not to lose the face and place of the Republican Party in the political system of America.
“Unlike the first stage of the election race, he moved away from personal confrontation with Joe Biden and concentrated on meaningful points, trying to mobilize his voters as much as possible and speaking as a “president of action”, not empty promises. His unexpected result showed how much America has changed over the past four years. These elections have become yet another proof that the old America, where the political establishment and Joe Biden, who personifies it, play a key role, no longer exists,” the political scientist concluded.
Note that Biden is now ahead of the current president, having currently received 264 votes in the Electoral College against Trump’s 214. 270 votes are needed for final victory.
At the same time, the Trump campaign announced that it was considering the possibility of challenging the results of the vote count in court.
