Last week, the prime minister of NATO member Slovakia openly expressed support for Russia's military campaign in Syria. Now, following Slovakia, another state that is part of the alliance, the Czech Republic, in the person of President Milos Zeman, has expressed support for Russia’s actions against ISIS terrorists.

Czech President Milos Zeman said that the West's condition for the resignation of Bashar al-Assad is unacceptable "interference in the internal affairs of Syria."

Zeman gave an interview to the Czech portal Parlamentni listy, in which he stated that if any Arab leader asks Barack Obama to resign, the Americans will regard this as interference in the internal affairs of the country. Meanwhile, Western countries are following exactly this path in Syria.

Zeman also expressed bewilderment why the United States blamed Assad for the migration crisis in Europe, since refugees are coming from Pakistan, Sudan, Senegal, Eritrea, Libya, Ethiopia, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Zeman was critical of the West's policy of military intervention in the Middle East. In his opinion, such a policy brought negative consequences in Iraq, Libya, and then, as a continuation, in Syria.
