The President of Estonia spoke about “fear” in Donbass

Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid shared her impressions of her trip to the part of Donbass controlled by the Ukrainian government, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

She stated this during a briefing with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Zelensky’s press service reports.

“The people who came to Ukrainian-controlled territory from the other side, they were afraid to communicate with us at all, this shows that they came from an environment where fear reigns. The Deputy Prime Minister accompanied me, people flocked to him and talked to him. This clearly shows which side ordinary people are on in Donbass,” said the Estonian President.

According to her, Estonia will continue to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

“I myself stood at the barrier - on one side is Ukraine and on the other side is Ukraine, but such different environments. It is important to move towards resolving this conflict. At the same time, we must not allow the international community to forget that this is not a conflict between two countries, where there are two sides to blame. We are dealing with a situation where one side is the aggressor and the other side is the victim,” Kaljulaid noted.
