European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker was unable to answer directly whether he considers Ukraine a full-fledged European country that can become a member of the EU.

At a press conference dedicated to the 17th Ukraine-EU summit, he diplomatically avoided answering.

“For me, Ukraine is part of the European family. Not an African one, not another one, but just a European family. “I gave you a short and clear answer,” Juncker responded in a veiled manner.

Juncker did not specify what kind of member of the European family he sees Ukraine, because in any family there are different roles, including the role of the stepdaughter.
