The President of Croatia shared with Poroshenko the experience of ethnic cleansing with an eye on Donbass
During his visit to Helsinki, Petro Poroshenko met with Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenkovic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The press service of the Ukrainian president reported this.
“The activities of the Working Group to study the unique experience of Croatia in the peaceful reintegration of temporarily occupied territories have been resumed, the last meeting of which took place in Kyiv on October 25, 2018,” the message says.
“The importance of consolidating international efforts to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine and counteract further aggression of the Russian Federation and the expansion of its military presence in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait, including by tightening sanctions” was also noted.
Let us remind you that Ukraine, according to statements by its authorities, plans to adopt the experience of Croatia in the field of “liberation and return of the occupied territories of ORDLO.” In fact, this means announcing mass ethnic cleansing in uncontrolled territory.
Croatia left the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1991. The collapse of the country was accompanied by armed conflict between different ethnic groups, in particular between Croats and Serbs. The Croatian Serbs did not agree with the authorities' decision to secede from the federation of Yugoslavia and announced the creation of the Republic of Serbian Krajina.
Active hostilities between Croatian and Serbian security forces continued until 1992, then a ceasefire agreement was signed. In 1995, the Croatian army carried out major offensive operations “Lightning” and “Storm”, during which they cleared most of the country from Croatian Serbs, expelling the inhabitants to Serbia.
