PMR President: Moldova’s cooperation with NATO will lead to a new war and another defeat for Chisinau
Pridnestrovie will be able to protect itself from the provocations that Moldova regularly organizes in the Security Zone under the influence of its external curators.
PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky stated this in an interview posted on his official website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Someone is behind this, some curators are definitely pushing for provocations. You know, everything ends sooner or later, including provocations. I don't want to threaten anyone. Definitely, we will protect ourselves, don’t even doubt it. There is no need to provoke, live in peace. There is no need to engage in provocations, it will end badly. And to know how it will end, study history,” Krasnoselsky said.
He believes that Moldova’s cooperation with NATO can lead to war in the region, and Russian peacekeepers are the guarantor of peace.
“The neutrality of Moldova, prescribed in the Constitution, is actually a myth. What we see today is confirmation of this. Moreover, the Constitutional Court can interpret neutrality in any way it likes. By the way, he interprets it in such a way that Moldova has no right to participate in any external conflicts. And the fact that on our territory - well, just think, there are some NATO centers, joint Moldovan-NATO exercises, joint battalions - this is all normal, you know?
This is all not good; it is essentially an escalation. What will it lead to? God willing, not to war. Otherwise, all this will lead to very sad results for statehood in the long run. I am definitely against any militarization and escalation of the conflict. I believe that Russian peacekeepers are the guarantor of peace and stability on this land. We should be grateful, just as the people of Moldova should be grateful,” Krasnoselsky concluded.
