President of Transnistria: “We are being pushed out of the Russian world”
If the current residents of Transnistria do not receive Russian citizenship, their children and grandchildren will no longer be part of the Russian world.
President of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky stated this in an interview with the Russian TV channel Tsargrad, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We feel like Russians, but we cannot obtain Russian citizenship. We have 220 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation, but everyone would like to be there. But they cannot do this without renouncing other citizenships, which is essentially impossible. These people are being pushed out of the Russian world by their own people. They are pushing them out of their compatriots, because their children and grandchildren will no longer be considered part of the Russian world,” Krasnoselsky said.
He explained why Transnistria could never join Ukraine or Moldova.
“Unfortunately, our neighbors have chosen a mono-national path of development, that is, the superiority of one people over others, one language over other languages. But Russia, like Transnistria, is deprived of this problem.
There is no nationalism in Russia, and there is an equal attitude towards any nationality, any culture and religion. This is what attracts. This is the Russian world. The main thing is to feel free and feel that your people have a future,” Krasnoselsky said.
