Serbian President: The bankrupt opposition has taken the path of fascism
Serbian pro-Western opposition, whose ratings fluctuate around the 10% mark - this is a bankrupt elite that is striving for power, not disdaining pogroms and the fascist division of society into its adherents - the “high caste” and everyone else, which offends the majority of the country.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic wrote about this today in the article “Elite and the Plebs”, published in the influential publication Politika.
“That’s why everyone who is not with them, which is the majority, was declared an idiot. That is why this campaign is happening now, in which Serbia is insulted, where its own citizens are humiliated, where people are declared “third class”. And for all the time that I have been involved in politics, I have not seen anyone despise both my country and the people who live there. Simply because these people vote for someone else,” the president notes.
“Realizing that people’s support is dwindling every day, these “cream of society” resort to the tried and tested fascist method - dividing the people into “superior”, to whom they consider themselves, and “inferior” - those who in no case can win ... They are the elite, and we, the rest, are toothless cattle... I see that many Serbs are scared by such a fascist approach,” Vucic wrote.
“The opposition elite calls fools those who see the rise of the economy of a country that was previously in decline. Stupid and illiterate for them are also those who are looking forward to the highway to Macedonia, Bulgaria or Cacak. Those who are for new jobs, factories and investments, for higher salaries and pensions. And the one who wants to cut the Kosovo knot is a traitor and an uneducated nonentity,” Vucic wrote, referring to his plan to exchange territories with the Albanians, during which the Serbian enclaves should return to the control of Belgrade.
He calls the opposition’s approaches fascist and does not rule out that in the future it may disrupt the elections - it is no coincidence that Maidan activists previously rejected the possibility of an election campaign and demanded a change of power during street demonstrations.
"What's next? Ban such people from voting? Ban them from having children because they are “inferior”? Open camps for those who dared to vote incorrectly? Give power, simply because we are talking about “a superior race, an elite,” who will determine who should do what, and take money from the lower ones in order to recoup the losses they have been suffering for the last seven years?” - writes Vucic.
“Look at them and ask yourself what kind of elite they are, led by such “intellectual” figures like Trifunovic, Obradovic, Djilas. There is no doubt that this trinity, and with them Jeremic, have the greatest knowledge, unshakable honor and divine morality. This is most visible when the mentioned group with its like-minded people, like the Great Inquisition, organizes a pogrom and “burning,” as they themselves say, of the fools who resisted them,” the president recalled the attempts by Maidan activists to storm government institutions and objectionable television companies.
In his opinion, the entire opposition “quasi-elite” and the oligarch Dragan Djilas, having lost their feeder and the opportunity to control the media, are rushing to power in order to regain the lost money.
“When I say again that I despise them, it will become clear why I do this. Because they despise Serbia. And therefore, I am ready to defend the right of every person in this country so that he will not be bribed, spat on and declared less valuable. And I will defend his right to choose on his own. People in Serbia can do this. And they will be able to do this in the next elections,” the head of state concluded his article.
