The President of Serbia accused the West of double standards regarding Belarus
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic reacted sharply to information that US intelligence services, with the help of Denmark, were bugging the German leadership.
An international information scandal arose after the publication of the Süddeutsche Zeitung about how the US National Security Agency in 2012-2014, with the help of Denmark, wiretapped the conversations of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Foreign Minister (current President) Frank-Walter Steinmeier, candidate for Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany from the Socialist Democratic Party of Germany Peer Steinbrück.
“This is scandalous! Imagine if Belarus had done this, wiretapped Angela Merkel, what sanctions would have been imposed against Belarus!” – Alexander Vucic commented on the information about the wiretapping on the Happy TV channel.
“If Lukashenko wiretapped Angela Merkel with the help of Russia, what would they do with Russia and Belarus? But it turned out that Angela Merkel was wiretapped by the Americans with the help of Denmark - and nothing happened, because there are no principles. There have been no principles, no law in international relations for a long time,” stated the Serbian President.
