By his second term, the President of Ukraine will nurture a whole generation of “Zelensky oligarchs” – Belkovsky
Before running for a second term, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will remove all politicians and officials who are disloyal to himself and create a group of loyal oligarchs.
Russian liberal political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky said this on the YouTube channel “Politeka,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Vladimir Aleksandrovich Zelensky is consolidating power on the eve of his campaign for a second term. It is not yet clear whether this campaign for a second term will take place in 2024 or earlier, but it is already clear that it will not be limited to one term. In this situation, he removes all the iconic figures who are not completely loyal to him. There have already been several of them, the brightest of them is Arsen Borisovich Avakov.
Therefore, next in line are Dmitry Aleksandrovich Razumkov and Vitaly Vladimirovich Klitschko, who must leave their posts over the next year before Ukraine approaches the next election campaign,” Belkovsky said.
In addition, the liberal emphasized that Zelensky will form a new group of oligarchs loyal to him.
“In addition, the law on oligarchs itself is needed in order to have time to form, within the framework of large-scale privatization, a generation of “Green oligarchs”, different from the old oligarchs, and remaining in the economy too,” the liberal added.
