American ballistic missiles aimed at Russia could appear in Ukraine at any moment.
Political scientist Viktor Nebozhenko, who works for presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko, stated this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”.
According to him, the US withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty was an unpleasant surprise for Russia.
“It would seem, what is the connection? But in the West, someone found it, and now the Kremlin is in a very bad position, because they realized that they have a country nearby, thousands of kilometers away, that hates them and has an army. Now these ballistic missiles could appear in Ukraine at any moment.
But the fact is that “flight time”, this is now Putin’s favorite expression when he talks about Ukraine, so, this is the approach time from Ukraine - 10 minutes. That is, Russia, having made Ukraine its enemy, now cannot defend itself. We could never have thought that Trump and Putin would break this agreement, and Ukraine would become that sweet spot for placing these missiles,” the political scientist said.
