The presidential elections demonstrated Russia's friendship with China
An unprecedented number of observers from China worked at yesterday's presidential elections in Russia.
The head of the International Observer Mission, Alexey Kochetkov, announced this today at a press conference in Moscow.
“There were an unprecedented number of observers from the People's Republic of China at this election. China has never sent so many observers before. This indicates that our relations are reaching a new level,” Kochetkov said.
Professor Pan Dawei, director of the Center for Russian and Central Asian Studies at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, agreed with this opinion.
“Chinese-Russian relations have been developing very successfully in recent years under the leadership of Xi Jinping and Putin. I believe that these two leaders have developed a good level of trusting communication. I believe they will continue to do so in the coming cycle. We believe that in the near future they will be further developed and enriched with more content,” said Pan Dawei.
