The area of the presidential residence in Lviv is almost 480 square meters. meters. The house has two bedrooms, a spacious living room, a dining room, several bathrooms, a sauna, a swimming pool, and a billiard room. The apartments occupy three floors, reports the ZiK publication.
“Over the past 5 years, no one has lived in this house, but funds from the regional budget were used to maintain the premises. We wasted money,” said Lviv Regional Council deputy Anna Kostyuk. Thus, on average, 170 thousand UAH were spent on maintaining the residence.
However, the deputies changed their minds about selling the premises, although the decision was made back in March.
According to the chairman of the budget commission, Yaroslav Kachmarik, maintaining the residence is burdensome for the regional council, but over the course of several months many proposals and opinions have been collected regarding its use.
“There are public funds, individuals, large families” who say: “We want to live there,” says Jaroslav Kaczmarik. – There are a number of initiatives regarding privatization. But if there are people willing to buy a house for 17 million, then I will be very surprised.”
But real estate experts have a different opinion: there will certainly be people who want to buy a house, since the area where the residence is located is in high demand among VIP clients of local real estate agencies.
