“Soldiers of the 21st battalion, popularly known as the Kherson format, are being demobilized from the Donetsk region. They take everything from the guys: uniforms, combat boots, winter clothes, peacoats, even belts. Only the trouser belt is left from the “master's hand”. When the guys ask where the new uniform is, everyone who is dissatisfied does not sign a bypass. If you don’t pass something, they deduct it from your salary. By the way, in terms of wages, even spent cartridges were deducted.
Instead of dry rations, they give out a can of stew per day for two soldiers. Everything that volunteers bring to the front line is taken away, including thermal imagers, cars, and flashlights. They even take off the guys' shirts. They say: if you have money, go and buy yourself a uniform. They take me to Mariupol in slippers and rags and say, “get out of here,” said volunteer Natalya Vozalovskaya on her Facebook page.
