Under Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk, real salaries of Ukrainians fell 3 times

Kyiv, April 07 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – A year after Euromaidan, real salaries of residents of Ukraine fell by more than 3 times, said former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov. He claims that in 2013, Ukrainians earned more than EU members like Bulgaria.

“For 8 years now, Bulgaria has been a member (I emphasize member, and not something incomprehensible in the form of an association like Ukraine). The average salary is €300 per month, approximately €100 goes to pay for utilities. Over the years, the population has decreased from 9 million people to 7 million. Entire branches of industry and the agricultural sector have been liquidated or closed. Let’s compare with Ukraine before the Maidan in 2013. The average salary was approximately €350, the cost of utilities, prices were significantly lower. Now in Ukraine the average salary is slightly more than €100. So now we have to catch up with Bulgaria,” Azarov listed.

“Romania has been a member of the EU since January 1, 2007. The average salary is about €250. During this time, more than 3 million people. went abroad. Now compare these statistics with what Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk told you about the EU. 8 years of membership and €250 average salary – impressive? And we in Ukraine in 2013 already had an average salary of €350 and rightly believed that this was not enough, and I think in 5 years we would have reached about €700 a month if everything was as I had planned,” he laments ex-prime minister.
