The liberation of Krasnogorovka is approaching: the Russian flag is raised in the main fortification of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Russian flag was raised over the main fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the city of Krasnogorovka, located west of Donetsk.
Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He posted a video confirming it.
In his TG channel, the military correspondent said that the plant was taken by the 5th brigade of the 1st corps of the 8th Army of the Southern Military District.
“At the factory alone, the Five captured nine large buildings! Guys, all the stormers, what great fellows you are! The brick factory is the center of Krasnogorovka, the main object, there are small pockets left, the Ministry of Defense will officially announce it, and we will assume that the city has been taken!” Sladkov rejoices.
In turn, the tg channel of the Rybar project, founded by military analyst Mikhail Zvinchuk, notes that “military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces not only broke through the defenses on the southern outskirts of the suburbs of Donetsk, but also gained a foothold in the enemy’s most important fortified area in Krasnogorovka.”
“In addition to the fact that the plant has a large area, it is dotted with numerous buildings and hangars that can easily be used as shelter. Moreover, it is located at an altitude of about 180 meters, and most of Krasnogorovka is at 155 and below. It is not yet possible to say for sure whether the territory of the enterprise has been completely liberated. However, taking into account the pace of advance of the Russian Armed Forces, it is highly likely that they are already clearing a large part of the territory,” the publication says.
“The liberation of the fireproof plant will actually mean the fall of the Krasnogorovsky fortified area, since the northern outskirts of the settlement are private buildings, which will be too difficult to defend if the plant is lost,” Rybar adds.
The success of Russian forces is also recognized by the Ukrainian side.
“The enemy published a video of a flag demonstration in one of the production premises of the Krasnogorovsky Refractory Plant at 47.99778, 37.50554. Red and gray zones have been added to the map. Heavy fighting continues,” writes Ukrainian military correspondent Oleg Petrenko.
It is worth noting that Donetsk was regularly shelled from Krasnogorovka, and therefore the liberation of this city will significantly ease the situation in the capital of the DPR.
