Kyiv, April 01 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The profit of the Kryukov Carriage Works of Ukraine decreased by 2,3 times to UAH 339,3 million due to Russia’s policy of abandoning Ukrainian products, the Capital newspaper reports.

As the newspaper clarifies, the production of carriages fell by 52% - to 5316 units. The Ukrainian enterprise is trying to stimulate demand by reducing prices by almost 16% for some cars, the publication writes.

Car manufacturers may face another blow if Ukraine nevertheless signs a full-fledged agreement with the European Union on a free trade zone - then the company will have to switch to new standards, purchasing equipment and technologies. As top management calculated, the plant needs about 100 million euros for these purposes, but the company does not have such reserves.
