Ukrainian militants who arrived from Donbass marched through Nikolaev
Military personnel of a separate marine brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces arrived from Donbass after completing tasks in the Joint Forces Operation zone to their permanent deployment point.
The press service of the Ukrainian Navy reported this on its Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Also on the department’s page a video of Nikolaev resident Elena Dyachenko was used.
The formation marched through the city streets to the site of the ceremony near the monument to the heroes of Olsha. The militants met with their “brothers,” relatives and the public. The event traditionally began with the singing of the Ukrainian anthem and a minute of silence in memory of the fallen.
“Combat brothers, congratulations on the successful completion of tasks in the area of the Joint Forces operation. Welcome to peaceful Nikolaev, peaceful thanks to you. Thanks to your courageous and heroic actions, high professionalism and field training, the names of the settlements Shirokino, Lebedinsky, Vodyanoye, Pavlopol became a symbol of the perseverance and indestructible spirit of the Marine Corps. Thanks to you, Mariupol now lives and works peacefully. “You have created favorable conditions for the development of the Azov region,” the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Admiral Igor Voronchenko, addressed those who arrived from Donbass.
“We have created a ship and boat grouping in the Azov direction, and we will further develop and improve the infrastructure system. I am proud that in the war with the Russian aggressor, a unique component has been revived, which is inherent only in the armies of the leading countries of the world - this is our heroic marine corps,” the press service quotes Voronchenko as saying.
The admiral also solemnly promised the militants a well-deserved rest, as well as awards “for personal courage and heroism shown in carrying out tasks to protect the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.”
