Shnurov complained that the state controls citizens too much and immediately emphasized that he does not want it to completely collapse.

“I believe that our state is deformed, that it is too big, that it is too edifying and too regulated. That our state is the very slab from under which nothing grows. Even the case with Navalny - well, Lord, you had an opposition figure, a wonderful, wonderful speaker, he made not very bad films - no, that doesn’t suit anyone either.

This is just a sprout, this is political life. Without people like Navalny, there is no air. I would like this platform and this concrete, which now crushes any political life, to crack a little thanks to a sprout like me. A little bit - that's right up to... it will be enough that I inflict some kind of chip on this whole state of affairs... So that there is a little more air and life there.

Not in order to destroy it - this is absurd. It is clear that these are all the dreams of young romantics. I am no longer young and not a romantic, I understand that without a state nothing will happen with us, and such a huge territory as a country, without a state and quite the way we have it - tough in places, simply will not be embodied in these geographical positions, it will simply fall apart,” Shnurov said.

As PolitNavigator reported, musician Sergei Shnurov recently became a member the St. Petersburg branch of the Growth Party, which is considered to be controlled by a pseudo-liberal project to disperse protest votes.

Musician also supported the liberal oppositionist Alexei Navalny, who had health problems during the flight from Tomsk to Moscow.

Earlier Shnurov also headed the opposition TV channel, which broadcasts to Russian-speaking audiences from the USA.

Not long ago, singer Yulia Chicherina, known for supporting the Donbass militia, called Shnurov “a snarky ditty” for his recent confession on TV about his fear of speaking in the LDPR.
