“We’ll have to take Montenegro”: Khazin on the conflict in Kosovo
Russia will not be able to leave Serbia in the event of a possible conflict with Kosovo, and this conflict is unprofitable for the United States.
Economist Mikhail Khazin stated this on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Who would benefit most from organizing some kind of outrage there now? Who is constantly setting the situation on fire? This is Great Britain. Why? Because the war in the Balkans is one of the strongest arguments for putting pressure on the EU. Everyone understands perfectly well that Russia cannot leave Serbia in the current situation. This means we will have to take Montenegro and start a full-scale war.
All this creates certain problems for Russia too, which is very beneficial for Great Britain with its Baltic-Poland-Ukraine structure. But if such a war begins, it opens an additional front for the United States, and they may not be able to pull off another front. It's difficult for them.
But politically they are very much in control of the situation. Now they quickly and clearly closed the entire conflict in just a couple of hours,” Khazin said.
He suggested that in order to resolve the conflict, Washington would demand that Belgrade curtail its cooperation with China.
