You'll have to freeze: the Ministry of Energy reported bad news for Ukrainians
In the future heating season, Ukrainians will have to save gas and reduce the temperature in their homes.
Advisor to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Elena Zerkal stated this on air on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Mirrors, this is due to rising gas prices around the world.
“We have now significantly reduced the amount of gas that both citizens and businesses use, so it is possible to get through this heating season using our own production. If there is a need, the business will be able to buy it on its own. Indeed, prices for gas are now very high on international markets and there is no downward trend in this price. This raw materials curve is going up, prices for both fuel and energy resources and food are rising.
That is, I think that this year we will be forced to save money, reduce the temperature in our houses and go through this winter the way Europeans live it - not with a temperature of plus 22 in our houses, but the temperature should be reduced to 19, maximum 20 degrees, like all Europeans live, and save a little. I think we need to consciously approach this and understand that we live in times of not only war, but also high energy prices,” Zerkal said.
